This is a recipe you donut want to wait long to make.
Sorry for the pun but I couldn’t help myself. I’ll try to steer clear of any more.
Chocolate Dip donuts are my absolute favourite.
Like many Canadian children and adults alike, I have many memories of stopping at Tim Hortons to break up long road trips.
It’s actually how I would remember land marks, I knew that when we passed the antique barn we weren’t far from Tim Hortons, which meant it wasn’t long until I got my Chocolate Dip Donut.
I actually still remember journey’s mainly by food land marks. Don’t ask me about distance or street names, if you want me to tell you how to get somewhere you better be ready to look out for grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants.
And you will probably get a few tips on what to pick-up from the places you pass as well.
But enough about my strange obsession with food.
I wanted to create a convincing healthy alternative that would still give me the satisfaction of your traditional chocolate dip.
These donuts did just that, bringing me right back to my childhood, chocolate covered hands and all.
The dough is soft and light while the thin chocolate glaze balances out the sweetness.
So if you have been thinking about trying a new recipe. I’ve got your back.
