Father’s Day is this Sunday!
In case you are still looking for the perfect gift, I have a few ideas here.
As much as I love finding a perfect gift, nothing truly beats spending quality time with the family and creating memories.
Unfortunately, living in a different country proves it’s challenges for planning activities with my dad. But we always make up for it when we see each other.
For those of you who will be spending the day with dad’s, grandad’s and father figures alike, I thought I would put together a list of some great ways to spend it.
This is such a fun afternoon for the entire family and something we always loved to do with my dad growing up. You will certainly work up an appetite by the time you’re finished, so why not treat dad to dinner too.
There is nothing my dad loves more than being out on the water. If your dad is the same, grab your poles, pack a picnic and head out to the water. This is a nice activity for the whole family.
What dad doesn’t love to play golf?? If you have no idea what you are doing on the golf course, head to the driving range together. If you’re nothing like me and actually know what you are doing, book in a slot on your favourite course.
Catch a Movie
Do you and your dad have the same taste in movies? Treat him to a film and a bucket of popcorn. Sometimes a chilled day together is the best way to spend them.
BBQ / Pool Day
Coming from a family that loves to entertain, spending Father’s Day by the pool with the scent of BBQ in the air is one I am very familiar with. This is a perfect way for the family to relax, catch up and enjoy each other’s company. Just makes sure dad’s beer fridge is adequately stocked with all his favourites.
